Phek [Nagaland], June 13 (HornbillTV): In a shocking incident, youths numbering around 200 from Thetsumi Village in Phek district burnt down around 100 farm huts at Chizami village at 9 am on June 13.



This was informed by the secretary of Chizami Village council, Webei Wezah. The council member claimed that the youths further dug up the terrace fields and cut the entire seedbed belonging to Chizami village under Phek district.



It was informed that Thetsumi village is 7 kilometres away from Chizami village.



The chizami village council has therefore condemned the act by the Thetsumi village youth



Hornbill TV also reached to the chairman of Thetsumi village for a clarification. Vetshe Tsuzuh, the chairman, informed that this was a century old land dispute issue and that the elders were not aware of the youth going to burn the huts.
