Kohima [Nagaland], June 14 (HornbillTV): Nagaland Rajya Sabha MP, Phangnon Konyak will be participating in the Eight IPU Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians, at Sharm el-Sheikh.

Konyak will be in Egypt for the next two days as part of the Indian delegation.

The theme of the conference is 'Young MPs for Climate action' and is jointly organised by the inter-parliamentary Union and the Egyptian House of Representatives. The annual IPU Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians is a platform to empower young MPs with greater international effort to address climate change, sharing of policies and parliamentary actions to confront the crisis, and the coordination of solutions to ensure that the planet and human rights are protected.

Delegations will take part in the conference and share their examples of good practices of their home countries to the colleagues.
