Manipur Child Environmentalist: "Hello Sir, I'm a Proud Indian. I'm not a Foreigner"

Dimapur [Nagaland], June 23 (HornbillTV): 10 year old Environmentalist from Manipur, Licypriya Kangujam hits back at Manish Jagan Agrawal saying, "Hello Sir, I'm a Proud Indian. I'm not a Foreigner".

Dimapur [Nagaland], June 23 (HornbillTV): 10 year old environmental activist from Manipur and one of the youngest climate activists globally, has hit back at samajwadi party's digital media coordinator, Manish Jagan Agrawal for calling her a foreigner in a tweet saying foreign tourists are also forced to show a mirror of the BJP ruled government".



This was in connection to the 10 year olds Taj Mahal picture with thrash and garbage around her.



Kangujam retweeted and slammed the SP member saying "Hello Sir, I'm a Proud Indian. I'm not a Foreigner". Further Kangujam tweeted that she has represented India at the United Nations 8 times already till the age of 10.



However, Manish jagan Agrawal, in justification to the huge blunder blamed a news channel for saying she is a foreigner which lead to the mistake and whatever misunderstanding happened was because of the news channel.



The child environmentalist has won many accolades and awards including Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam Children Award, World Children's Peace Prize, Global Child Prodigy Award amongst many others.



She began raising her voice to combat climate change and disaster risk reduction, when she was seven. In June 2019, she protested in front of the Parliament House of India addressing the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi to enact the climate change law in India.
