Dimapur [Nagaland], June 23 (HornbillTV): The Nagaland Liquor Total Prohibition Act 1989 in ground reality is a whole different picture as liquor is found in every nook and corner of Nagaland. 

The sale of liquor is an open secret however NLTP Act is not admitted to be a total failure and has not been strictly implemented since its inception.

Many state legislators has also shown concern for removal of the Act which can enhance the revenue generation of the State, but on the other side Nagaland Baptist church Council and many other organizations are against the lifting of the NLTP Act.

Speaking at the one day consultative meeting on school education which was held at Niathu Resort, Education Advisor KT Sukhalu, mentioned that with the removal of NLTP Act, and the revenue generated from it can be utilized to improve education and health sector.
