Chhattisgarh organises Investor Connect events in Bastar
Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], September 24 (HBTV): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday said that Investor Connect events are being regularly organised across the state, including in Bastar, to promote industrial growth.
Speaking to reporters, Sai stated that the initiative would significantly boost small-scale industries in Bastar and benefit local communities. He highlighted that the state’s new industrial policy offers special incentives for SC/ST entrepreneurs and women. ‘If someone from the SC/ST category or women entrepreneurs wishes to become entrepreneurs, there are special incentives arranged for them in the new industrial policy,’ he said.
At the event, Forests and Climate Change Minister Kedar Kashyap said Bastar is steadily progressing toward becoming a Naxal-free district. ‘In Chhattisgarh, under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, an environment is continuously being created from the perspective of industry... Bastar is continuously progressing towards becoming Naxal-free... Certainly, there are immense possibilities in our Bastar,’ he told reporters.
The Bastar Investor Connect was organised by the state’s Commerce and Industry Department to transform the underdeveloped region into an industrial and employment hub, in line with Chhattisgarh’s Industrial Development Policy 2024–30.
Separately, on September 8, CM Sai said the state’s solar power consumers were emerging not only as energy producers but also as contributors to the grid. Addressing the Solar Energy Awareness and Promotion Campaign in Raipur, he said: ‘Through ambitious initiatives like the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, the state is moving rapidly towards fulfilling its commitment to clean energy targets.’
The Chief Minister also flagged off the ‘Surya Rath’ to raise awareness about solar energy and transferred INR 1.85 crore of state subsidy directly into the accounts of 618 consumers, each receiving INR 30,000 under the scheme.
