Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criti

‘Earlier, most recruitment processes were referred to the CBI for investigation,’ says CM Yogi

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], September 30 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticised previous state governments, alleging that most recruitment processes during their tenure had to be referred to the CBI for investigation. He said that they looted the people of Uttar Pradesh by taking money from families in exchange for jobs.

Speaking at an event in Lucknow, the Chief Minister said, ‘Earlier, most recruitment processes were referred to the CBI for investigation. These are the same people who used to recruit more people by taking money from members of one family, looting the people of Uttar Pradesh in this way. That recruitment is from 2016, and we had it investigated. The investigation is going on, and if it is completed on time, many such people involved will be forced to spend the rest of their lives in jail.’

Highlighting his government’s work, CM Yogi stated that in the last eight years, around 2.19 lakh police personnel have been successfully recruited. ‘In the last eight years, we have successfully recruited 2.19 lakh police personnel who are serving in Uttar Pradesh. Just imagine that the recruitment of 2.19 lakh police personnel has been completed in these eight years alone, out of which more than 60,200 were recruited recently,’ he said.

He further said that in the last eight years, 8.5 lakh youths have been given government jobs, with recruitment carried out through commissions and boards. ‘Today, there is a shower of jobs in UP, both in the government and private sectors. The youth selected through fair recruitment are now serving the state with honesty and energy,’ he added.

The Chief Minister also contrasted today’s Uttar Pradesh with the situation before 2017, when the state was labelled a Bimaru (sick) state. ‘Earlier, youths faced an identity crisis outside the state, and UP was seen as a barrier to the nation’s development. But in the last eight years, we have transformed UP into the country’s number two economy and the growth engine of India,’ he said.

Earlier in the day, CM Yogi held a Janta Darshan programme in Lucknow, where he addressed public grievances.
