New Delhi [India], December 6 (HBTV): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini paid floral tribute to the portrait of Constitution maker and architect of modern India Dr B R Ambedkar on his Mahaparinirvan Diwas.
According to a release, the Chief Minister said Baba Saheb’s thoughts, principles and lifelong struggle were a source of inspiration not only for Indian society but for humanity at large. He said every chapter of Dr Ambedkar’s life demonstrated how strong willpower, education and a commitment to equality could bring positive change even in difficult circumstances.
‘Dr Ambedkar not only established democratic values in the Constitution of India but also laid the foundation for ensuring equal rights and justice for every section of society. He continuously fought against social discrimination and described education as the most effective medium for social upliftment,’ Saini said.
He added that Baba Saheb’s teachings and ideas would continue to inspire society. ‘His unwavering commitment towards equality, justice and human rights will continue to illuminate our path,’ the Chief Minister said.
Saini said the Haryana government, guided by the ideals of Dr Ambedkar, was committed to bringing deprived, economically weaker and backward sections of society into the mainstream. He said several welfare policies were being implemented in the state to ensure access to quality education, employment, social security and equal opportunities.
The Chief Minister also appealed to citizens to draw inspiration from Dr Ambedkar’s life and contribute towards strengthening mutual brotherhood, social harmony and democratic values.
