New Delhi [India], November 1 (HBTV): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will investigate the alleged irregularities in the Odisha Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment exam and the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) paper leak, sources said.

Odisha Police officials had earlier confirmed that the probe into the Odisha Police SI recruitment scam would be formally handed over to a central agency. The CBI will also examine another recruitment exam fraud case linked to the UKSSSC.

Earlier, a single-member inquiry commission, constituted by the Uttarakhand government to investigate alleged irregularities in the competitive examination conducted by the UKSSSC on September 21, 2025, submitted its interim report to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The commission, headed by Justice (Retd.) U.C. Dhyani, carried out extensive public hearings and collected inputs from candidates and concerned parties.

Chief Minister Dhami stated that the commission had commendably submitted its report within a short timeframe. He said the state government would review the report and take decisions in the interest of candidates. He further informed that a recommendation for a CBI probe had already been made to ensure complete transparency and fairness in the investigation.

The UKSSSC graduate-level competitive examination 2025 has come under scrutiny following allegations of malpractice, prompting the state government to initiate a judicially supervised probe.
