Dantewada (Chhattisgarh) [India], December 15 (HBTV): In an effort to empower young people in one of Chhattisgarh’s most insurgency-affected districts, the Dantewada administration has launched a ‘Youth Hub’ initiative aimed at nurturing aspiring entrepreneurs and helping them build sustainable livelihoods.
District Collector Kunal Dudawat said the initiative is designed to provide local youth with a professional environment where they can develop, refine and launch business ideas with expert support. He said better counselling and professional space are being offered to budding entrepreneurs, along with assistance in developing viable business plans.
Youth Hub Manager Amrita Gajbhiye said the centre, currently operated by the district administration, is intended to function as a one-stop platform for young people in the district. She said it seeks to link youth with employment opportunities, skill development programmes and guidance for those interested in entrepreneurship.
Gajbhiye added that the centre offers structured support for young entrepreneurs, including help with creating business plans, connecting with banks and guidance on starting new ventures. She said various training programmes are also being conducted to build capacity and confidence among participants.
Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said on Wednesday that top Naxal cadres have been neutralised and reiterated the resolve of the Union government to eliminate left-wing extremism. He said security forces have intensified operations against Naxalism since the formation of the current governments at the Centre and in the state, and added that the fight against left-wing extremism has seen significant success. He reiterated that it is the resolve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to eliminate Naxalism by 2026.
