Kurukshetra (Haryana) [India], December 23 (HBTV): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini paid tributes to Sant Shiromani Shri Sen Maharaj at a state-level celebration marking the saint’s birth anniversary in Kurukshetra, while announcing a series of development projects for the Ladwa Assembly constituency.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister highlighted the teachings of Sant Shiromani Shri Sen Maharaj, noting that the saint emphasised truth, non-violence and service to humanity, rising above divisions of religion and caste. He described saints, sages and gurus as an invaluable part of India’s heritage and said the state government continues to promote their ideals through various social initiatives.
‘It is a great privilege for me to attend the birth anniversary of the great saint Shiromani Shri Sen Maharaj,’ CM Saini said, extending greetings and congratulations to people across the state for their participation in the event.
He said the state government has prioritised welfare measures for backward classes and rural communities. Referring to educational support, the Chief Minister said loans of up to INR 15 lakh are being provided for higher studies within the country and up to INR 20 lakh for studies abroad to children from backward classes at an interest rate of four per cent.
Highlighting women-centric initiatives, CM Saini said the second instalment under the Lado Lakshmi Yojana was deposited into beneficiaries’ accounts on Wednesday. He also said the government has granted ownership rights to tenant farmers and provided INR 15,627 crore as compensation to farmers for crop damage.
To accelerate development in the Ladwa Assembly constituency, the Chief Minister announced that projects worth INR 16.5 crore have been inaugurated and foundation stones laid. He said a Public Works Department rest house will be constructed in Ladwa, sewerage facilities will be installed in residential colonies at an estimated cost of over INR 22 crore, an Ambedkar Bhawan will be built, and roads under the Public Works Department will be repaired.
CM Saini said these initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to inclusive development, social upliftment and strengthening basic infrastructure across the state.
