Haryana CM Saini launches AI-based Haryana Budget Janbhagidari Portal
Gurugram (Haryana) [India], January 26 (HBTV): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday launched the AI-based ‘Haryana Budget Janbhagidari’ Portal during the pre-budget session held in Gurugram, in line with Haryana Vision 2047.
The portal aims to provide citizens with a direct opportunity to participate in the state’s budget-making process. Suggestions can be submitted in Haryanvi, Hindi and English, enabling wider participation from different sections of society.
The Chief Minister said the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to transparency, citizen participation and participatory governance. Through the platform, citizens, experts and stakeholders will be able to connect directly with the government, share practical suggestions and contribute to making the budget process more open, continuous and dialogue-driven.
Earlier, on January 5, meetings of the High-Powered Purchase Committee and the High-Powered Works Purchase Committee were held at Haryana Niwas under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister. During the meetings, proposals related to major infrastructure and development projects of various state departments were discussed, and several decisions regarding the procurement of works and services were taken.
According to an official release, five tenders with an estimated cost of around INR 133.47 crore were considered during the High-Powered Purchase Committee meeting. Re-tendering was ordered in one project, while detailed negotiations were conducted for the remaining tenders with an estimated cost of about INR 123.13 crore. After negotiations, the final agreed value of these works was fixed at approximately INR 105.04 crore, resulting in savings of nearly INR 18.09 crore for the state government. (ANI)
