New Delhi [India], January 27 (HBTV): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has said the state is emerging as a hub for food security, employment generation and innovation.
Addressing the concluding session of the first day of a pre-budget consultation at Gurugram University, Saini said Haryana would move forward with improved financial management and effective implementation of welfare schemes to ensure the upliftment of all sections of society.
He said the people of Haryana have established a distinct identity, with farmers contributing as food providers for the nation and the state’s youth serving as vigilant sentinels on the country’s borders. According to the Chief Minister, Haryana has also carved out a strong presence in agriculture, sports and the industrial sector.
Saini said that when Haryana was formed on November 1, 1966, several assumptions were made about its prospects, but the determination and hard work of its people helped the state achieve significant progress. He added that many suggestions received during consultations in the past were incorporated into earlier budgets and yielded positive outcomes.
Referring to the state’s long-term development roadmap, the Chief Minister said that as Haryana moves ahead with Vision 2047, inputs from experts and public representatives have become increasingly important. He said presentations by various departments had highlighted key suggestions related to innovation, employment and knowledge-based development, and expressed confidence that the state would continue to progress rapidly.
Haryana Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Pataudi MLA Bimla Chaudhary, Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Rajesh Khullar, Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister Dr Raj Nehru, and other senior officials were present at the event.
