Katihar (Bihar) [India], October 29 (HBTV): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday affirmed that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will form the government in Bihar, stating that the people of the state are reposing their trust in Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Saini said that the people of Bihar seek development, education, and access to better healthcare. He also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bihar government for their work toward the state’s welfare.
‘The NDA government will be formed in Bihar. The people of Bihar are once again trusting CM Nitish Kumar. They want development, education, and good health facilities. PM Modi and the NDA government in Bihar have worked for the welfare of the people. There was jungle raaj in Bihar during the Congress and RJD governments. People will not vote for them now as they want development,’ CM Saini told ANI.
Earlier, Union Minister Giriraj Singh asserted that the NDA is set to secure a decisive victory in the Bihar Assembly elections. He also took a sharp dig at the opposition bloc Mahagathbandhan, saying it is in disarray — ‘Dil ke tukde hazaar huye, koi yahan gire, koi wahan gire.’
Singh said there is no effective Mahagathbandhan in Bihar, adding that the public has lost faith in RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.
‘In 2010, JD(U) and BJP made a record together when they won 206 seats. This time, we will surpass that. We have neta (leader), netritva (leadership), and programme. There is no Mahagathbandhan anymore, and there is no trust in Tejashwi Yadav. They do not even accept each other’s leadership,’ he said.
Taking another jibe at the opposition alliance, Singh remarked, ‘Mahagathbandhan is in a condition of dil ke tukde hazaar huye, koi yahan gire, koi wahan gire. They are contesting against each other on dozens of seats. Their gathbandhan has become a thugbandhan. They are deceiving one another, showing that they are disheartened and frustrated.’
The Mahagathbandhan — comprising the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Indian National Congress (INC), and Left parties, including the Communist Party of India (CPI), Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation [CPIML (Liberation)], and Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPIM] — has yet to finalise its candidate list and seat distribution.
Meanwhile, the ruling NDA has shared its seat distribution list and initiated groundwork across key constituencies.
Earlier on Saturday, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Patna to discuss the NDA’s strategy for the upcoming assembly polls.
Polling for the Bihar elections 2025 will take place on November 6 and 11, with results to be announced on November 14.
