New Delhi [India], April 20 (HBTV): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday extended greetings to citizens on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya.
The Prime Minister said the sacred festival inspires people to continue on the path of good deeds, charity and service. He expressed hope that the occasion brings happiness, prosperity and good health to everyone.

Prime Minister Modi also extended greetings on the occasion of Bhagwan Parshuram Jayanti. He said Bhagwan Parashurama inspires people to stand against injustice and remain steadfast on the path of truth.
He noted that Bhagwan Parashurama symbolises unparalleled valour and wisdom.
The Prime Minister expressed hope that, with the blessings of Bhagwan Parashurama, every heart is filled with renewed energy and confidence. He also wished that his blessings illuminate lives with happiness, peace and prosperity.

Parshuram Jayanti is an important festival in Hinduism as it marks the birth anniversary of the sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu. It is observed when Tritiya prevails during Pradosh Kaal, as it is believed that Lord Parashurama was born during this period. (ANI)
