Patna (Bihar) [India], November 5 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party’s star campaigner Yogi Adityanath addressed election rallies in Bihar in support of BJP’s Ramkripal Yadav (Danapur) and NDA’s Shyam Rajak (Phulwari Sharif).

Launching a sharp attack on the RJD-Congress alliance, Yogi accused them of derailing Bihar’s growth through what he called divisive ‘development versus burqa’ politics. ‘Those who once pushed Bihar into Jungle Raj are again trying to mislead people,’ he said, warning voters against ‘fake polling’ and alleging that the alliance wanted to return to the era of ballot snatching and fraudulent voting.

He said the RJD and Congress oppose EVMs because they fear transparent elections. The Chief Minister reminded the crowd of Bihar’s difficult years between 1990 and 2005, saying that under RJD-Congress rule, ‘the land of knowledge became a hub of crime and dynasty politics.’ He accused them of sheltering mafias and driving Biharis to migrate in search of livelihood.

Highlighting the NDA’s governance record, Yogi said, ‘In Uttar Pradesh, mafias are on their way to hell — their properties are being seized and used to build houses for the poor.’ He added that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the NDA has ensured inclusive development, while ‘the Congress-RJD agenda has always been for family welfare, not public welfare.’

The Chief Minister said the NDA has freed Bihar from decades of stagnation and crime. ‘No one can now obstruct development or treat crime as a birthright,’ he declared, crediting the central and state governments for advancing infrastructure and curbing mafias that once hindered progress. Recalling Bihar’s resurgence, he said, ‘Between 1990 and 2005, corruption and scams like the massive fodder scam stifled youth talent and delayed development. Today, Bihar stands transformed, with modern infrastructure and opportunities for its people.’

Emphasizing the importance of transparent elections, Yogi said every voter must show an ID to cast their vote. He accused RJD, Congress, and their allies of promoting ‘fake polling,’ calling it a threat to democracy and a denial of rights to citizens, youth, Dalits, and the underprivileged. ‘Everywhere in the world, voters show their ID, but these parties want anyone to vote without identification,’ he said, urging people to safeguard the integrity of the polls.

Recalling Bihar’s pivotal role during the Emergency, he said, ‘Jayaprakash Narayan gave the clarion call from Patna to protect democracy. Today, the same Congress has RJD mortgaged in its lap, betraying JP’s dreams and hiding their corruption under its shadow.’

Yogi hailed Bihar as the mother of democracy, citing Vaishali’s ancient republic, Nalanda University, and the state’s cultural and historical icons. He highlighted the shared heritage between Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, likening it to the bond between Lord Ram and Mother Sita, and urged voters to continue the progress achieved under Nitish Kumar’s leadership and NDA governance over the past two decades.

Referring to cultural and spiritual milestones, he said, ‘Ram devotees once questioned whether the Ram temple in Ayodhya would ever be built. Today, the temple stands completed, and a INR 900-crore Mother Sita temple is under construction in Bihar.’ He celebrated the state’s connection to Chandragupta Maurya, Lord Buddha, and Chanakya.

Yogi also highlighted key development projects, including metro networks, universities, inland waterways, airports, and employment initiatives. He cited projects strengthening historical ties, such as Uttar Pradesh’s first law university in Prayagraj named after Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the Ram-Janaki Path connecting Ayodhya to Sitamarhi, and the development of Jayaprakash Narayan’s birthplace in Ballia with a hospital and memorial.

‘The relationship between Uttar Pradesh and Bihar is a shared heritage, a bond of soul, culture, and determination that is unbreakable like that between Lord Ram and Mother Sita,’ Yogi said.

Drawing parallels with Uttar Pradesh’s governance model, he added, ‘Land confiscated from mafias is being used to build homes for the poor. The same will happen in Bihar.’ He reiterated that under the NDA, Bihar is free from criminal interference and corruption, enabling youth and citizens to thrive.

Concluding his address, Yogi said, ‘During Diwali, every home shines with light, and during Chhath, the entire state celebrates with devotion. In the same way, the lotus of democracy must bloom on this land of democracy. The NDA government remains committed to uplifting every section of society, bringing Bihar into a new golden age.’
