Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], November 15 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday reaffirmed the state government's commitment to judicial reform and capacity building, announcing infrastructure expansion at the Judicial Training and Research Institute.

Speaking at the convocation ceremony of Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, he said the government is prioritising continuous training and skill development for judicial officers, prosecutors, police personnel, and administrative officers. He stated that new hostels, sports facilities, and modern training rooms are being constructed to support these initiatives.

Earlier, on Saturday, the Chief Minister congratulated the people of Uttar Pradesh after Lucknow was included in UNESCO's Creative City of Gastronomy list. He said India's traditions, culture, and values were gaining wider global recognition under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

UNESCO announced Lucknow’s designation on October 31, World Cities Day, as part of 58 new additions to its Creative Cities Network. Lucknow is now the second Indian city in the gastronomy category, after Hyderabad’s inclusion in 2019.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated the city, noting its vibrant cultural and culinary heritage. Several leaders, including Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, praised the recognition as an opportunity to boost tourism, heritage preservation, and international collaboration.

The city’s celebrated Awadhi cuisine, known for its kebabs and distinctive biryani, was highlighted by UNESCO in its announcement. Lucknow now joins 408 cities across more than 100 countries recognised for contributions to creative fields such as gastronomy, literature, media arts, crafts, design, and music. (ANI)
