Chumoukedima, Nagaland, January 7 (HBTV): Approximately 3,377 candidates from Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland districts have begun competing for 144 police constable posts in the Nagaland Police.
The open recruitment rally commenced on January 7 and shall continue until January 13, excluding Sunday, January 11. The selection process has begun with physical tests being conducted for candidates from across the state.
On the first day of the physical test, 329 candidates, including 158 women and 171 men, took part. Among them were 171 male candidates from the Angami tribe. Candidates belonging to the Ao and Chang tribes are scheduled to undergo their physical tests on January 8.
The physical tests are being held at the Nagaland Police Academy Training Centre within the Police Complex. Overall, more than 30,000 candidates are competing for 1,176 police constable posts across Nagaland.
Authorities have advised all candidates to strictly follow the recruitment schedule and adhere to the prescribed guidelines throughout the process.
