Kohima (Nagaland) [India], December 9 (HBTV): Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, Chief of the Air Staff, visited the Kenguruse Pavilion at Kisama Heritage Village in Kohima during the Hornbill Festival on Tuesday.

The Air Chief Marshal paid homage to fallen Naga heroes, acknowledging their courage and sacrifice in the service of the nation. His tribute reflected the deep respect shared across the Armed Forces for those who laid down their lives for India.

He also viewed an AI-based film on Captain N Kenguruse, Mahavir Chakra (Posthumous), which recounts the officer's valour and sacrifice. The screening offered visitors an opportunity to reflect on his legacy and the importance of remembering the nation's heroes.

During the visit, he interacted with officers of the Army and the Air Force and toured the exhibits at the pavilion, which highlight military heritage, regional history and the shared legacy of service in Nagaland and the wider North-East.

The visit reaffirms the Indian Armed Forces' commitment to honouring fallen heroes, strengthening inter-service ties and preserving the heritage and sacrifices of those who served the nation.

Earlier on Saturday, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia took part in the Hornbill Festival, celebrating Nagaland's cultural richness and the traditions of its 17 tribes.

Ireland is the official country partner for Hornbill Festival 2025, an announcement earlier made by Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Irish Ambassador Kevin Kelly at the Naga House in New Delhi. The Embassy of Ireland will host a series of public engagements as part of its partnership.

Now in its 26th year, the festival is held annually from December 1 to 10, showcasing Naga heritage through cultural performances, traditional sports, food, crafts and community gatherings. (ANI)
