Imphal, April 08 (HBTV): Chief Minister of Manipur, Yumnam Khemchand Singh, on April 7, chaired an all-political party meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat to review the prevailing law and order situation in the state.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the Tronglaobi incident, which was strongly condemned by all parties, terming it a cowardly act.

Leaders of various political parties expressed serious concern over the deteriorating law and order situation and stressed the urgent need to maintain peace, unity, and communal harmony across the state. They also assured full cooperation to the government in restoring normalcy.

The meeting resolved that those responsible for the incident must be identified at the earliest, arrested, and dealt with strictly as per law.

It was further unanimously decided to appeal to the public to remain calm and refrain from any form of agitation or violence, including destruction of public property, and to cooperate with authorities in maintaining law and order.

The meeting was attended by representatives from BJP, INC, NPP, NPF, CPI, NPP (TL), RPI (Athawale) among others. Former Chief Minister O. Ibobi Singh and former Deputy Chief Minister Y. Joykumar Singh were also present.
