Chumoukedima, Nagaland, August 18 (HBTV): Naga peace activist Niketu Iralu passed away on August 18 evening at BLK hospital in Delhi to which he was admitted reportedly following a cardiac arrest.

Iralu was recognized for decades of work in conflict management, reconciliation, and moral leadership across political and ethnic divisions in Northeast India.

Iralu was a member of Forum for Naga Reconciliation. He was also associated with the global movement Initiatives of Change (formerly Moral Re-Armament) since 1955, serving internationally and as director of Asia Plateau.
