Chumoukedima, Nagaland, May 4 (HBTV): The government middle school of Chendang in Tuensang district went on a study tour to Sao Chang College in Tuensang on May 4. Led by head teacher Yemlongchaba, the visit aimed at acquainting the students with the array of educational opportunities available in higher institutes while also fostering a genuine enthusiasm for learning. Tuensang town is 23 kms away from Chendang village but for most of the visitors, it was their first-ever visit, updates received here stated. 

During their visit, students explored various educational resources at Sao Chang College. A tour of the science laboratories provided a first-hand glimpse into science and its various scientific tools. The college’s museum served as a repository of cultural heritage, imparting valuable lessons on the importance of preservation and heritage.   

A highlight of the tour was the Floriculture unit, maintained under Rashtriya Uchchtar Shiksha Abhiyan, where students were enthralled by the beauty of nature and the importance of environmental conservation, the updates stated.
