Imphal, Manipur, May 7 (HBTV): State and Central police forces have found a cache of weapons, explosive materials, and other items during operations in Bishnupur district of Manipur.

The security forces launched a joint search operation on the fringe and vulnerable areas of Aimol village and IrengbamManing in Bishnupur district.

During the search operations, a carbine with two magazines, a 9mm pistol with magazine, four 36 HE grenades, 50 rounds of live ammunitions, five PEK sticks of Improvised Explosive Devices weighing approx. 750 grams; six SLR tube launchers, detonators, eight 36 hand grenade arming rings, two ballistic cartridges, a tear gas shell, one C90 MK 3 grenade, two 80 grenade MK-1(WP), a Bicard Strip, and two walkie -talkies with one charger.

No arrest was made during the search operation.

The seized items have been handed over to the police station for further investigation, a police report said.
