Imphal, Manipur, May 8 (HBTV): Security forces in Manipur have arrested an active cadre of the proscribed outfit National Revolutionary Front of Manipur from Lamphel RIMS Road near RIMS Gate on Tuesday.           

The arrested person has been identified as one Heisnam James Singh alias Kumar, 33 years of age. He was allegedly involved in extorting money from various places in the Imphal area.     

The security forces seized a two-wheeler and a mobile phone from his possession. The arrested person and the seized items have been handed over to the police for further action, the police said.
