Rewa (Madhya Pradesh) [India], April 24 (HBTV): Addressing a public rally in Rewa, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that any person over the age of 70 years, including the transgender community, will now be given a health cover of INR 5 lakh. 

In its manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP mentioned that the party will ensure that the Ayushman Bharat scheme covers people from the transgender community and all senior citizens over 70 years of age. 

‘The prime minister has said that any person above 70 years of age and people from the transgender community will now be given a health cover of INR 5 lakh,’ said Nadda. 

He was addressing a rally in favor of BJP candidate Janardan Mishra who is also the sitting Member of Parliament from Rewa Lok Sabha seat. The Congress party has fielded Nilam Mishra against the BJP for the seat.
