AIUDF releases election manifesto for Lok Sabha elections

The All India United Democratic Front has released its election manifesto for Assam on Tuesday ahead of the second and third phases of the Lok Sabha elections.

Guwahati, Assam, April 24 (HBTV): The All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) has released its election manifesto for Assam on Tuesday ahead of the second and third phases of the Lok Sabha elections. 



Addressing a press conference at the AIUDF headquarters in Guwahati, AIUDF MLA Hafiz Rafiqul Islam and parties members released the manifesto.



The party assured ‘equal rights, eradication of discrimination; and an agricultural policy for farmers; resolve the flood issue and find a permanent solution to the erosion of embankments by recognizing it as a national problem.  



In the field of education, the AIUDF will set up a university in Dhubri, Goalpara, and Karimganj, among other places where there are no universities set up by the previous governments.



The party also assured that ‘work will be done for women’s safety’; ‘raise voice against the Citizenship Amendment Act’ and ‘will not accept the Uniform Civil Code.’ 



Further, the AIUDF also said to have plans to ‘work to solve the problems faced by tea workers.’



The AIUDF is contesting from three Lok Sabha constituencies in Assam namely Karimganj, Dhubri, and Nagaon.



During the press conference, Islam said, "After the first phase of polling, we are sensing that the BJP (Bharatiya janata Party) will not retain power. We want a non-BJP government in Delhi and we will support it unconditionally."
