Chumoukedima, Nagaland, March 8 (HBTV): The Angami Gazetted Officers' Krotho (AGOK) convened its 41st general conference on March 7 at Meriema in Kohima. The advisor for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Zhaleo Rio was the special guest of the event.

Rio urged the gathering to have cooperation and unity for the welfare of the people. According to updates that were received here, he addressed the ‘tendency of Angamis to be casual.’ He urged senior officers of the fraternity to lead by example while advising the juniors to be more responsible.

Highlighting the officers as the ‘cream of society,’ Zhaleo emphasized on leaving individual differences aside and to work for collective welfare. He urged the organization to transcend tribal lines and work for Naga unity.

Former member of legislative assembly Dietho-o Yhoshü reflected on the early efforts of late KK Angami to unite Angami officers before the formation of the AGOK in the 1980s. The former official served as the first President of the organization.

Stressing on the values of trustworthiness and dependability, he challenged the AGOK members to uphold those values in their actions. He warned against ego-driven attitudes and urged the AGOK members to serve as guides, complementing the Angami Public Organization as their head.
