People's Democratic Alliance gear up for elections

Chumoukedima, Nagaland, March 23 (HBTV): Ruling members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly forming the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) in Nagaland government met on March 22 to discuss matters concerning the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.    



The MLAs of the National Democratic Progressive Party and the Bharatiya Janta Party including their presidents and members held a ‘coordination meeting’ to discuss the Lok Sabha elections at Naithu Resort in Chumoukedima.                      



Forty legislators from political parties attended the meeting except for 20 MLAs representing the eastern regions of Nagaland.               



Details of the meeting and agenda were unavailable at press time. 



Speaking to the media, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said there are plans to formally meet the 20 MLAs from Nagaland’s eastern regions after their return from New Delhi.
