Ri Bhoi, Meghalaya, March 12 (HBTV): Meghalaya’s Ri Bhoi district police have apprehended four individuals suspected to have been involved in the recent Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast at Them Motor, located in East Khasi Hills district of Shillong.         

The arrests were made in the Umsning area on Monday night.              

The IED bomb blast, which occurred on the evening of March 9, resulted in one person sustaining injuries.              

Further, the police have successfully seized materials believed to have been used in the creation of the IED.           

All four suspects hail from the Umsning area. The identities of the individuals were unavailable at press time.       

The arrested people have been transported to the Nongpoh Police Station. They will face a hearing at the District Session Judge Court in Nongpoh.          

An official statement from the police was being expected at press time.
