Nagaland BJP leaders meet in Guwahati ahead of Lok Sabha elections

Leaders of the Nagaland Nagaland Bharatiya Janata Party held a meeting on March 4 in Guwahati.

Chumoukedima, Nagaland, March 5 (HBTV): Nagaland’s Deputy Chief Minister Yangthungo Patton, Rajya Sabha member and Lok Sabha Election convener Phangnon Konyak; and state general secretary (organization) of Manipur and Nagaland state Abhay Giri; and president of the Nagaland Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit Benjamin Yepthomi held a meeting on March 4 in Guwahati.      



The meeting focused on matters pertaining to the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, a press release from the party received here on Tuesday said. The party’s leadership iterated all support to ensure resounding victory to the People’s Democratic Alliance government’s consensus candidate for the Lok Sabha elections, the press release stated.



The state leaders also attended the combined Lok Sabha Committee meeting of Manipur, Meghalaya, and Nagaland State in Guwahati.  



The Nagaland BJP unit also said that the state’s president shall be undertaking an intensive assembly constituency tour from March 10. 



‘This decision is being taken to further strengthen the party at the grass root level and also to foster unity and better understanding among the party’s workers with a vision to make the Nagaland BJP stronger and better,’ the press release stated.
