Dimapur [Nagaland], March 22 (HornbillTV): World Water Day is celebrated to create water crisis awareness and to save and conserve water and to use our water judiciously.
The Public Health Engineering Department, Dimapur Division and Act of Kindness Society today organised an event under the theme ‘Ground Water - Making the invisible visible'.
At the programme, Er. Bendangtola Walling, Executive Engineer, PHED (Urban) Dimapur gave the keynote address and flagged off the silent rally walk campaign.
Kawimaningsiliu, Miss Nagaland 2021 was also present at the programme and took part in the 'water pledge' campaign with the participants.
11 institutions along with Dimapur Naga Students' Union, A Better Dimapur and Ao Students' Union took part in the event with a total number of 230 participants. Schools and colleges competed in poster making on the World Water Day theme and the winner was rewarded with a cash prize and a certificate.
