The government of India has announced an extension of the ceasefire agreement with the K-Khango faction of the Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland.

Chumoukedima, Nagaland, March 7 stories (HBTV): The government of India has announced an extension of the ceasefire agreement with the K-Khango faction of the Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN).                    



A note that was issued by the northeast division of the ministry of Home Affairs received here on Thursday, March 7, stated that the central government and the Khango faction of the NSCN have mutually decided to extend the ceasefire agreement from April 18, 2024 for a period of one year i.e., till April 17, 2025.  



The ceasefire will be subject to adherence to the ceasefire ground rules mutually agreed and signed by the two sides. The ceasefire ground rules will be subject to mutual review and amendment with the involvement of both the parties, the note stated.
