Patna (Bihar) [India], March 9 (HBTV): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said that the National Democratic Alliance government in Bihar will take stringent action against the 'land mafias'. A committee will be formed that will take strict action against those who have taken over the land of the poor and will work towards putting them behind bars.

Shah addressed a public meeting here today and said that the 'double engine sarkar' of the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) will out land mafias in the state by hanging them upside down.

After arriving in Bihar for the first time after the formation of the NDA-led government, Amit Shah addressed a public meeting with people belonging to the Other Backward Caste and Economically Backward Class at Paliganj near Patna in Patliputra Lok Sabha Constituency.

"Tell me, can the one who has always opposed the backward classes his entire life do the public any good? The only thing they can do is grab the lands of those backward and extreme backward classes," stated Shah.

"A double-engine government has again been formed in Bihar, and the BJP government will do the work of straightening the land mafias by hanging them upside down," Shah declared.

Amit Shah's Bihar visit today is his first since the formation of the new government in January 2024 with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
