Assam, March 20 (HBTV): Authorities have yet again seized a large quanity of banned cough syrup from the Assam-Tripura border.    

Based on an intelligence input, authorities intercepted a vehicle at the Churaibari check post along the Assam-Tripura border on Wednesday morning.           

Following a thorough search, Assam border police personnel found 12 cartons containing 1,200 bottles of the Codeine phosphate cough syrup Phensedyl from the vehicle.         

A person identified as one Amarendralal Debbarma, said to be a resident of Tripura, was apprehended in connection with the case.
