The gathered citizens assembled and started chanting slogans demanding an inquiry into the case of a person who went missing and was later found dead.

An individual identified as one Mrinal Barman, who used to work at a sweet shop, had reportedly gone missing on Wednesday night. He was found dead along the Barak river, approximately 20 kilometers away in Katakhal, on Sunday.
