Wokha, Nagaland, January 31 (HBTV): The Lotha Catholic Eloe Khumshum of Kohima celebrated its silver jubilee on January 30, at Peraciezie (Gasia) in Kohima with the theme ‘I have the strength to face all conditions by the power that Christ gave me’ (Philippians 4:13).

The celebration began with a Holy Eucharist led by Rev. Fr. Mathew Mhabemo, Parish Priest at St. Francis De Sales Church in Kohima as the main celebrant. He also dedicated and unveiled the jubilee’s commemorative monolith.

During the homily, Rev. Fr. Matthew Rhanben, Parish Priest at St. Joseph's Church in Longleng congratulated the women's association on completing 25 years of service. He emphasized that a jubilee is not merely about gatherings, feasting, forgiveness, unity, or peace, but holds a deeper spiritual significance.

Rev. Fr. Rhanben encouraged the congregation to extend love and support to the poor, widows, orphans, and all those in need. He highlighted that the true essence of jubilee is fulfilled when acts of kindness are extended to others, as the prayers of the needy bring blessings to those who help them.

Rev. Fr. Rhanben wished the gathering a meaningful jubilee and prayed for peace, unity, prosperity, and success in future endeavors.
