Kohima, Nagaland, October 29 (HBTV): The Ura Academy, a premier Tenyidie dialect body, hosted the Ura Academy Board of Directors Conclave on October 25 and the Tenyidie Writers and Poets Meet on October 26.



The program was held at the Ura Academy (Badi) Headquarters on Mission Compound Road in Nagaland’s capital, Kohima.



During the program, Ura Academy President Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu expressed delight at the inaugural Tenyidie writers and poets’ meeting. The former chief minister of Nagaland highlighted the significant progress of Tenyidie, the first dialect introduced at Nagaland University, where it has been studied for approximately 26 years.



Research has covered much of the Tenyimi community’s folklores, traditions, and culture. He stated that efforts are now expanding to document other tribes.
