Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June 8 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, speaking at the inauguration of the BrahMos Aerospace Integration and Testing Facility in Lucknow, stated that anyone who has not witnessed the power of the BrahMos missile should ask the people of Pakistan.
The BrahMos Aerospace Integration and Testing Facility was virtually inaugurated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. CM Yogi was present at the event in Lucknow.
Reiterating India’s firm stance against terrorism, Adityanath said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made it clear that any future act of terrorism will be treated as an act of war.
‘You must have seen a glimpse of the BrahMos missile during Operation Sindoor. If you didn’t, then just ask the people of Pakistan about the power of the BrahMos missile. PM Narendra Modi has announced that any act of terrorism going forward will be considered an act of war. The problem of terrorism cannot be solved until we crush it completely. To defeat terrorism, we all have to unite and fight with one voice under PM Modi’s leadership. Terrorism can never accept the language of love. It must be answered in its own language. Through Operation Sindoor, India has sent a message to the entire world,’ the Chief Minister said.
Meanwhile, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed the gathering virtually, expressing satisfaction at the progress of the defence initiative. He explained that he was unable to attend the ceremony in person due to the prevailing situation that required his presence in Delhi.
‘At the inauguration of the BrahMos Integration & Testing Facility Centre today, I feel delighted to speak with you. I wanted to attend in person. But you know why I couldn't come. Looking at the situation we are facing, it was important for me to be in Delhi. So, I am joining you via video conferencing,’ Singh stated.
Rajnath Singh had laid the foundation stone for both the Defence Technology & Test Centre and the BrahMos Manufacturing Centre, established by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), on December 26, 2021, in Lucknow.
According to an official release, the Defence Technologies & Test Centre (DTTC), spanning approximately 22 acres, is designed to support the growth of defence and aerospace manufacturing within the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor (UP DIC).
The BrahMos Manufacturing Centre, developed by BrahMos Aerospace, is a state-of-the-art facility covering over 200 acres in the Lucknow node of UP DIC. It will produce the BRAHMOS-NG (Next Generation) variant, continuing the legacy of the BrahMos weapons system.
