Balrampur (Chhattisgarh) [India], June 8 (HBTV): Villagers in the Pahadi Korwa Basti of Balrampur district in Chhattisgarh expressed joy after their long-standing demand for water was met within a day through the installation of a new borewell. The swift action followed a surprise visit by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai under the Sushasan Tihar scheme on Wednesday.
District CEO Sanjay Dubey stated, ‘Sushasan Tihar is being implemented in the state as per the Chief Minister’s directives. During his inspection of the village, the residents raised the issue of water scarcity. A borewell was installed on the CM’s orders, and villagers are now receiving an adequate water supply.’
A local resident shared that CM Sai personally asked the villagers about their concerns. ‘Villagers said there was a scarcity of water. After the installation of the borewell, we got relief. Earlier, there were too many problems, but now it is solved,’ the resident said.
In a separate development on Saturday, two leading industrialists met Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai at Chhattisgarh Bhavan in New Delhi to propose major investments in the state.
Dr. Naresh Trehan, founder of Medanta Hospital and a renowned cardiologist, proposed setting up a state-of-the-art multi-speciality hospital in Raipur, with an estimated investment of INR 500 crore. The facility will feature advanced medical technology, expert doctors, and will also include research and training components.
Meanwhile, Ravi Jaipuria, Chairman of Varun Beverages Limited, proposed the establishment of a manufacturing plant for carbonated soft drinks and fruit juices in Raipur. The project entails an investment of over INR 250 crore and is expected to boost industrial development and create employment opportunities in the region.
CM Sai welcomed both investment proposals and assured full support from the Chhattisgarh government. He said the government would extend all necessary assistance to ensure the success of these projects, which are expected to benefit the public and generate new avenues of employment for the youth.
