Araria (Bihar) [India], November 25 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday hailed the improved law and order situation in the state under the Bharatiya Janata Party government, stating that ‘naa curfew hai na danga hai, UP mein sab changa hai’.

Addressing an election rally in Araria, the Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh has witnessed peace and development under the double-engine government led by the BJP for the past eight and a half years. He repeated the slogan, saying that despite the long tenure, there has been ‘no curfew and no riots’.

Highlighting the progress achieved under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Yogi Adityanath said that Bihar too is moving towards growth and welfare under the same vision of development.

He accused the Mahagathbandhan of working against cultural and religious sentiments by opposing the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the Ram Rath Yatra. He said that Congress and the RJD had earlier questioned the existence of Lord Ram and opposed the temple’s construction. He added that the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh had acted against Ram devotees.

He said that the world’s largest temple dedicated to Lord Ram has now been completed in Ayodhya and that the international airport in the city has been named after Maharishi Valmiki, reflecting the government’s commitment to protecting cultural heritage.

Earlier in the day, Congress leader Pawan Khera criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his recent ‘katta’ remark, saying that the language of guns and ‘kanpatti’ reflects the BJP’s mentality, not that of Bihar or the Congress.

Prime Minister Modi, during a rally in Bihar on Saturday, had taken a swipe at the Opposition, saying ‘nahi chahiye katta sarkaar, phir ek baar NDA sarkaar’. Khera said that it was surprising to hear such words from the Prime Minister and described the remarks as ‘absurd language’.

Following a high voter turnout in the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections, the state is preparing for the second phase, scheduled for November 11 in 122 constituencies.

The results will be announced on November 14.
