Gurugram (Haryana) [India], September 30 (HBTV): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday participated in the 2025 edition of the Haryana City Cleanliness Campaign, stressing that keeping Gurugram clean and green is the responsibility of every citizen.
Addressing the gathering, CM Saini highlighted the involvement of senior citizens and women in the campaign and urged residents to actively contribute towards maintaining Gurugram’s top ranking in cleanliness. ‘Gurugram should be clean and healthy, and I would appeal to every citizen of Gurugram to continuously join the cleanliness drive. It is the responsibility of our citizens that our Gurugram remains number one in the ranking, and they should maintain it,’ he said.
The event was attended by Gurugram MLA Mukesh Aggarwal and formed part of the Haryana Urban Cleanliness Campaign. The drive also saw participation from Dera Sacha Sauda followers, Nirankari institutions, and Radha Soami Satsang members under the Mera Gurugram Swacch Gurugram initiative.
As part of the ongoing Seva Pakhwada, the campaign has been running across Haryana since August 11 and will continue until October 2, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti. Earlier, on August 24, CM Saini flagged off an 11-week cleanliness drive in Kurukshetra under the Swachh Kurukshetra – Mera Kurukshetra, Mera Abhimaan initiative, which will continue until November 7.
