UP CM Yogi Adityanath attends 'Guru Gorakhnath Health Service Yatra 5.0' event in Lucknow

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the Guru Gorakhnath Health Service Yatra 5.0 event in Lucknow.

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 20 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the Guru Gorakhnath Health Service Yatra 5.0 event in Lucknow.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister said that his government has focused on the development of the 54 villages of the Vantangiya community since coming to power in 2017.

'In 2017, after our government was formed, we thought about the 54 villages of the Vantangiya community, recognised them and also provided all facilities to them, including voting rights. Earlier, they were exploited by police,' CM Yogi said.

On Sunday, the Chief Minister inspected the venue of a public meeting ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Kanpur. He also held a meeting with public representatives and officials at Chandrashekhar Agriculture University in preparation for the visit.

The Chief Minister took a metro ride from Nayaganj metro station to Rawatpur metro station in Kanpur.

He also visited Gorakhpur to inspect the Herbert Bandha four-lane road project and emphasised that the new road would ease transportation and reduce traffic congestion. Additionally, he approved development projects worth over INR 700 crores to improve the district’s infrastructure.

CM Adityanath highlighted the importance of widening and strengthening roads in Gorakhpur district, along with the construction of new four-lane roads and an overbridge.

In a post on X, CM Adityanath wrote, 'Today I participated in the programme organised for the on-site inspection of the widening and strengthening of roads in Gorakhpur district, new construction of a 4-lane road, and construction of an overbridge.'

'Giving further impetus to the prosperity journey of Gorakhpur, development works worth more than INR 700 crores have been approved for the public. Hearty congratulations to the people of the district,' the post added.
