Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], September 14 (HBTV): The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Kolkata Zonal Unit, seized narcotics worth around INR 26 crore and arrested ten individuals, including the mastermind, during a coordinated operation on September 12.

In the early hours, DRI officers conducted simultaneous searches at three locations — one at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International (NSCBI) Airport and two residential premises in the Bijoygarh area of Jadavpur.

According to an official release, Hydroponic Weed, Cannabis, and Cocaine were recovered in substantial quantities from the mastermind’s residence. At another rented property operated by the mastermind, a large cache of Cannabis was found, packed and ready for distribution. Four associates involved in sale and local distribution were apprehended at this location, and cash suspected to be proceeds of drug sales was also seized.

Another syndicate member, responsible for arranging suppliers abroad, was also detained the same day.

In total, officials seized 32.466 kg of Cannabis (Ganja), 22.027 kg of Hydroponic Weed, 345 grams of Cocaine, and cash. Ten Indian nationals, including the mastermind, overseas carriers, distributors, and middlemen, were arrested and produced before the courts for judicial remand.
