Faridabad (Haryana) [India], February 12 (HBTV): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday lauded the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, calling it a historic mandate by the people and stating that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, which came to power through false promises, had now been ousted.

'The people of Delhi have given a historic mandate in these elections. They were deprived of the policies that PM Narendra Modi had implemented across India. Now, they will also benefit from them,' Saini said.

He further stated, 'The people who had come to power by resorting to lies were shown the way out by the people of Delhi.'

Saini also took a swipe at AAP convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over the issue of pollution in the Yamuna River, which had been a focal point during the election campaign.

'It's not just the Yamuna but many other issues. Kejriwal kept misleading people—whether it was about cleaning the Yamuna, ensuring clean water for all households, sewage management, road construction, or turning Delhi into Paris. Not a single promise was fulfilled,' he stated.
