Kochi (Kerala) [India], August 28 (HBTV): The Kerala High Court has stayed the arrest of actor Lakshmi Menon in connection with a case of alleged abduction and assault of an IT employee.

The court will hear detailed arguments on her anticipatory bail plea after the Onam holidays.

Police have already arrested three individuals said to be with Menon at the time of the incident. The accused were identified as Mithun, Aneesh, and Sona Mol.

Menon approached the High Court seeking pre-arrest bail, arguing that the complainant had allegedly insulted her and Sona Mol.

The case was registered on Monday following a complaint by Aliyarsha Salim, an IT employee from Aluva. According to the FIR, the alleged abduction and assault followed a bar brawl in Kochi on Sunday night.

The Ernakulam Town North police registered the case, noting that the actor was absconding.

The incident reportedly occurred near Ernakulam North Bridge, where the accused allegedly forced Aliyarsha out of his vehicle, beat him, and threatened to kill him before abandoning him near the Aluva-Paravur junction.
