New Delhi [India], May 17 (HBTV): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted extensive searches at 10 locations across Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi in connection with the 2024 Neemrana hotel firing case linked to Canada-based Khalistani terrorist Arsh Dalla, the agency stated on Monday.

The NIA said the searches, carried out on May 3, were part of an ongoing probe into the September 8, 2023 attack in which 35 rounds were fired across the premises of Hotel Highway King in Neemrana. The attack was intended to spread terror and issue threats to the public.

According to the agency, the two attackers involved in the firing were members of the Bambiah gang, with direct links to Dalla’s terrorist-gangster network. They reportedly used prohibited weapons and had threatened the hotel’s owner and manager for extortion money. The manager had also received multiple threat calls from international numbers, the NIA revealed.

Having taken over the case in December, the NIA seized several electronic devices and other incriminating materials during searches conducted at the premises of accused individuals and suspects allegedly involved in promoting violent criminal activities.

As per the agency’s findings, the suspects were engaged in financing and executing acts of violence at the behest of designated terrorist Arsh Dalla and his associate Dinesh Gandhi.

The investigation also revealed that Dalla’s associates have been using such violent tactics for extortion to fund banned Khalistani terrorist organisations.

‘Businessmen and other targets were identified by these gangsters and their aides, who would threaten and coerce the targets into paying off huge sums,’ the NIA stated.

The case, registered as RC 01/2024/NIA/JPR, remains under active investigation as part of the agency’s wider efforts to identify and dismantle terrorist and gangster syndicates operating within the country.
