New Delhi [India], November 20 (HBTV): After the revelation that multiple doctors from Al-Falah University were allegedly involved in the explosion near Red Fort in New Delhi, the National Medical Commission (NMC) is set to issue regulatory guidelines to all medical institutions and professionals, directing them to refrain from anti-national activities within workplaces.

The guidelines will emphasise social accountability and national health priorities while advising institutions and professionals to avoid activities that may be considered anti-national.
Regarding the overall status of Al-Falah University, including allegations of fraud related to registration, sources said the decision will be taken by the Haryana state authorities. ‘Al-Falah University falls under the Haryana State Private University Act. As the university offers multiple non-medical programmes, the Haryana state authorities will make the final decision regarding its overall status,’ the source said.
Sources further stated that the future of Al-Falah Medical College will depend on the ongoing national-level investigation. ‘Based on the state government’s decision and inputs from the central government, the NMC will determine the future of Al-Falah Medical College, which is central to the ongoing national-level investigation,’ the source added.
The college, approved in 2019, charges lower fees compared to several private institutions, which has contributed to high demand for admissions despite the serious allegations. It has already filled 150 MBBS seats for the 2025–2026 academic session. The NMC assured that the future of these students will not be affected. ‘The NMC will ensure that innocent medical students are protected and that their academic future is not affected,’ the source said.
Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, chairman of the Al-Falah group, in a money laundering case. Siddiqui was arrested under Section 19 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, following a detailed investigation and analysis of evidence gathered during an earlier search.
The ED has expanded its probe into Al-Falah University to examine the financial operations of the Al-Falah Trust, associated firms and personnel involved in the institution’s administrative and financial management.
