Awantipora (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], February 26 (HBTV): In a significant step toward digital policing, Police Station Khrew has registered its first electronic First Information Report (e-FIR) based on a complaint received via email, according to an official statement.



Mushtaq Ahmed Bhat, a resident of New Colony Khrew, filed the complaint against Adil Ahmad Bhat and Bilal Ahmad Bhat, both residents of the same locality.



The complainant alleged that the two accused assaulted his entire family, causing injuries. He supported his complaint with an OPD ticket from PHC Khrew and a copy of his Aadhaar card as evidence, the statement added.



Upon examining the complaint, police took cognizance of the matter and registered an e-FIR under Case FIR No. 17/2025, invoking relevant sections of the BNS at Police Station Khrew.
