The thick layer of snow, coupled with hovering clouds, has turned Doda into a mesmerizing winter paradise. As the sun emerged, the snow-covered trees and rolling hills glistened, resembling a white wonderland. Earlier, Bhalesa woke up to a fresh blanket of snowfall on Saturday, transforming the entire area into a winter wonderland. The three-day-long snowfall ended a prolonged dry spell, covering mountains, trees, and homes in a thick layer of snow. Locals stepped outdoors to enjoy the enchanting scenery despite the wet and soggy ground.
With temperatures dipping below freezing, residents have pulled out their warm clothing to brace for the cold. The snowfall has not only enhanced the natural beauty of the region but also brought a renewed sense of joy and winter spirit to the local community.
A resident remarked, ‘There is a wave of happiness not only in Doda district but across the state. This snow has come after a long dry spell, and the surroundings have changed very quickly. All the green gold in the mountains has transformed under a white blanket of snow.’
