The statement highlighted the need for strengthening the financial foundation of cow shelters through sustainable practices. It mentioned that paints made from cow dung should be used on government buildings as part of this initiative. The Chief Minister also directed officials to enhance green fodder production capacity and emphasised the establishment of a fodder bank to support cattle welfare. He further instructed that one cattle should be provided to each poor family.

The Chief Minister chaired a meeting at his official residence with officials from the Agriculture Department and the Regional Cooperative Dairy Federation to review progress in the sector.

Earlier in the day, Yogi Adityanath held a Janata Darshan at his residence in Lucknow, where he met citizens and listened to their grievances, including those raised by women attendees. He personally reviewed the concerns and assured that necessary action would be taken.

In a separate development, on Thursday, the Chief Minister had instructed officials to expedite relief work in areas affected by storms, rainfall, and hailstorms. He stressed the importance of timely compensation for human and livestock casualties and called for proper medical treatment for the injured.

‘Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the officers of the concerned districts to conduct relief work with full promptness in view of the storm, rain and hailstorm,’ the Chief Minister’s Office stated in a post on X.

He also directed officials to visit affected areas, assess the damage, and oversee the relief efforts on the ground.

‘Also, in case of loss of life and animal loss due to lightning, storm, rain, etc., relief amount should be distributed to the affected people immediately. The injured should be given proper treatment,’ the post added.

Additionally, the Chief Minister instructed officials to prioritise drainage arrangements to mitigate the impact of waterlogging caused by adverse weather.

‘The Chief Minister has instructed that the officers should conduct a survey and assess the crop loss and send a report to the government so that further action can be taken in this regard. In case of waterlogging, arrangements for drainage should be made with priority,’ the statement said.

Meanwhile, CM Yogi expressed grief over the passing of Padma Shri awardee and renowned yoga guru Swami Sivananda Saraswati, who passed away on Sunday at the age of 128 in Varanasi.
