UP: CM Yogi Adityanath inspects four-lane road project in Gorakhpur

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Gorakhpur to inspect the Herbert Bandha four-lane road project, stating that the new road will ease transportation and reduce traffic congestion.

Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 18 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Gorakhpur on Saturday to inspect the Herbert Bandha four-lane road project, stating that the new road will ease transportation and reduce traffic congestion in the city.

He also approved development projects worth over INR 700 crore to further strengthen the district's infrastructure.

During his visit, CM Adityanath underlined the importance of widening and strengthening roads in the Gorakhpur district, along with constructing new four-lane roads and an overbridge to improve urban connectivity.

Taking to X, CM Adityanath stated: ‘Today I participated in the programme organised for the on-site inspection of the widening and strengthening of roads in Gorakhpur district, new construction of 4-lane road, and construction of an overbridge.’

‘Giving further impetus to the prosperity journey of Gorakhpur, development works worth more than INR 700 crore have been approved for the public. Hearty congratulations to the people of the district!,’ the post added.

Earlier in the day, a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office said: ‘In view of the storm, hailstorm, and lightning, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath directed the officers of the concerned districts to conduct relief work promptly. The officers should visit the area, conduct a survey, and monitor the relief work.’

‘In case of loss of life or animals due to the disaster, the relief amount should be distributed to the affected immediately. The injured should be given proper treatment. After conducting a survey and assessing the crop loss, send the report to the government so that further action can be taken,’ the statement added.

CM Adityanath further directed that all injured persons should receive proper treatment without delay and instructed health officials to ensure timely medical care. He also ordered that crop damage be assessed through local surveys and reports be sent to the state government for necessary action.

In waterlogged areas, the Chief Minister directed that drainage arrangements be made on a priority basis.
